Energy and sustainability through the subsurface

About me

My research focuses on the mechanics and physics of geological materials. Through my interdisciplinary background in geosciences and engineering, I aim to elucidate physical processes in the laboratory; then, explore through field data and mathematical analysis how this physical insight feeds into geological-scale problems.

I am currently a Research Associate at The University of Texas at Austin, Institute for Geophysics. I obtained my PhD in Energy Resources and Petroleum Engineering from KAUST, and B.S. in Petroleum Engineering from U. Nacional de Colombia.
